What MetaQuotes asks for before granting an MT5 licence
Ten items, one principle: every document must describe the same company, the same owners and the same addresses. Here is the full checklist and how each item is usually provided.

MetaQuotes requires ten items: Certificate of Incorporation, Good Standing or Incumbency, Register of Directors, Register of Shareholders (UBOs), proof of registered address, proof of physical address, domain ownership and an operational website, a document confirming activities, a bank reference letter and SumSub verification.

These are the items MetaQuotes sends to applicant companies.
Items 1–6 and 8 come from the registered agent, the regulator or legal counsel. Item 7 is prepared by you or your web developer, item 9 by your bank, and item 10 online by the signatory and UBO.
- Certificate of IncorporationThe original certificate issued when the company was registered.
- Certificate of Good Standing or IncumbencyRecent proof that the company is in good standing, if it is older than six months.
- Register of DirectorsCurrent directors and, for complex boards, authorised signatories.
- Register of Shareholders (UBOs)Shareholders plus documents identifying the ultimate beneficial owner behind any nominee or holding structure.
- Proof of registered addressAny corporate document showing the registered address.
- Proof of physical addressA utility bill in the company name, a corporate document stating the business address, or a certified letter from officials, a law firm or an accounting firm.
- Domain ownership and operational websiteProof that the company owns the domain shown in the terminal, and a secure, transparent, working website.
- Document confirming relevant activitiesUsually the Memorandum; if silent or too general, a representation letter or legal opinion from local counsel. An FX licence also serves this purpose.
- Corporate bank account confirmationA bank reference letter addressed to MetaQuotes, or a certified bank statement.
- SumSub verificationOnline identity verification of the authorised signatory and the UBO (not minority shareholders).

What your website must show
The website appears inside the MetaTrader terminal, so MetaQuotes checks it closely.
Most common issue
Small inconsistencies, such as an abbreviated company name or a differently formatted address, trigger follow-up questions. We compare the website line by line with the corporate documents.
- Full company name, exactly as registered
- Full registered address
- Full physical / business address
- Email address or contact form, and a telephone number
- A clear risk warning
- A disclaimer on the jurisdictions you do and do not serve
- Licence details, if the company holds an FX licence
- HTTPS and a working, professional site on a domain the company owns

Requirements: questions
Does a new company need a Certificate of Good Standing?
Only if the company is older than six months. A newly formed company provides its Certificate of Incorporation and current registers.
Can we use nominee shareholders?
Nominees can appear on the register, but MetaQuotes requires documents identifying the real beneficial owner, and the UBO completes SumSub verification.
What if our bank will not issue a reference letter?
A certified bank statement may be accepted instead. If you operate mainly through a payment provider, a certified PSP confirmation letter can support your file.
Who completes SumSub?
The authorised signatory and the ultimate beneficial owner, via a link sent by MetaQuotes. Minority shareholders do not need to.
