Mauritius forex licence and MT5, handled end to end

The FSC Investment Dealer licence is one of the most widely used regulated routes for FX and CFD brokers. With our Mauritius management company partner we set up the GBC, file the licence application, provide the local officers and prepare your MetaQuotes file.

  • Investment Dealer (Full Service, excluding Underwriting)
  • Global Business Company with a Global Business Licence
  • Resident directors, secretary, compliance officer and MLRO
  • Multi-currency bank accounts and PSP accounts
In short

Forex brokers in Mauritius usually hold an FSC Investment Dealer licence (Full Service excluding Underwriting) through a Global Business Company, with two resident directors, a company secretary, a compliance officer, MLRO and deputy MLRO, a registered office and a local bank. A local management company can provide this substance. It typically takes four to eight months.

Overview

Why brokers choose Mauritius

Mauritius is a well-established international financial centre regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC). Forex and CFD brokers usually apply for an Investment Dealer licence, most often the Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting category, held by a Global Business Company (GBC) that also holds a Global Business Licence.

A Mauritius licence gives your brokerage a regulated profile that banks, liquidity providers, payment providers and MetaQuotes recognise. In return, the FSC expects real substance and ongoing compliance. Our partner, a licensed Mauritius management company, provides most of that substance as a service, so you do not need to relocate staff.

Mauritius: questions

Which licence do forex brokers need in Mauritius?

Most FX/CFD brokers apply for an Investment Dealer licence, usually Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting, held by a Global Business Company.

Do I need to move staff to Mauritius?

Not necessarily. Resident directors, the company secretary, the compliance officer, MLRO and deputy MLRO, the registered office and a local phone line can be provided by our licensed management company partner.

Does the set-up include a bank account?

Yes. Our partner assists with multi-currency corporate accounts at a leading bank and with PSP accounts for card payments. Account opening remains at the bank’s and PSP’s discretion.

How long does a Mauritius forex licence take?

Typically four to eight months, depending on the completeness of the file and FSC questions.

Can I start trading while the licence is pending?

No regulated activity may start before the licence is granted. Some brokers start with a Saint Lucia entity in parallel. See packages.
